1956 TYPE 1 FRANKLIN NGC PF 69 CAMEO- We The People
The 1956 Type 1 in PF 69 Cameo! Since the 1956 Type 1 is one of the scarcest and most popular varieties of the Franklin series, it is not often I can offer an example in the supreme grade of PF 69 CAMEO! The 1956 Type 1 Franklin is distinguished primarily by the eagle on the reverse: the features of the eagle are softer than those of the Type 2, and there is less definition in the feathers. Additionally, there are eight full feathers present at the bottom of the wings on the Type 1 Eagle as opposed to six on the Type 2 Eagle. NGC has graded a total of just 321 1956 Type 1 Franklins in all grades Proof Cameo. Of those, only 28 were awarded the grade PF 69 Cameo; and this is 1 of only THREE in approved for the WE THE PEOPLE Pedigree. This example offers the incredible eye-appeal so akin to the reputation of the Type 1! A solid layer of frost completely covers the obverse and reverse devices creating stunning Cameo contrast against the half dollar’s jet-black, flawless-to-the-eye mirrors. I am thrilled to offer a Type 1 Franklin in PF 69 Cameo!
