1956 TYPE 1 FRANKLIN NGC PF 68 CAMEO- We The People

$4,800.00

The 1956 Type 1 is one of the rarest Franklins, as well as, one of the most popular varieties of the Franklin series. It is not often that I am able to offer this rare variety of Franklin in the supreme grade of PF 68 Cameo! The 1956 Type 1 Franklin is defined primarily by the eagle on the reverse: the features of the eagle are softer than that of the Type 2, with less definition in the feathers. In addition, there are eight full feathers present at the bottom of the wings on the Type 1 Eagle, as opposed to the six feathers present on the Type 2. This example offers incredible eye-appeal with a solid layer of frost completely covering both obverse and reverse devices, creating stunning Cameo contrast against the half dollar’s jet-black, flawless-to-the-eye mirrors. I am thrilled for the opportunity to offer this Type 1 Franklin in PF 68 Cameo!
